There is a third (and probably final) fan-based tribute CD to OMD in the works. I was fortunate enough to be represented on the first two, and was asked to supply a track (which I have just completed mastering) for the third release, entitled 'We Love You 3'. These CD's are marketed through CafePress, with all profit going to the Marie Currie Cancer Care Foundation (in the UK) - a charity chosen by OMD themselves.

Andy McClusky, lead singer of OMD, does listen to and provide comment on these releases, so this is not a black hole - it's a real opportunity to take a break from your own creative writing and instead work up a cover of someone elses work - and having your work do some good in the world.
Musicians incur no costs associated with this project, but if you want copies, you have to buy them (retail) from CafePress just like everyone else. The CD's are marketed through the OMD Covers site (http://www.omdweb.com/covers/index.htm) and through the official OMD Website (http://www.omd.uk.com/). Feedback is provided through the Forums on the Official OMD website.

I would encourage any of you familiar with or influenced by OMD to consider submitting a track for this project. And remember, a number of OMD songs have no vocals
