I really never listen to house so I'll take your word that it's derivative.
I like the tempo synced filter modulation on the piano and the hand percusion. THe cymbal swells (which sound high quality to me) are good "connectors"
Even though its not my preferred style I have laready listened to it three times. So you have created a nice catchy tune here.
