The choosing of ten songs among the lot was very hard as most of them are extremely good. Some are just excelent and interesting but not very danceable so that helped a bit in choosing the top ten.

While a lot of entries took the more obvious disco/funkystuff route, it's clear quite a few of us dance to a very different drum. Cheers to the tangos, boleros, waltzes , bug dances, zombie dances, etc. because we're all dancing through our lives with a soundtrack running through our heads.

My Picks:

1. GregJazz - All I want to Do Is Dance

Absolutely wonderfull! You nailed the feel you were after. Great bassline! One of the best tunes I've heard here.

2. Bitshift - Controversy

Great production and playing/singing. Very funky. Another outstanding track.

3. James B - Mooshoo

Nice chord progression. Reminds me of Atlanta Rhythm Section a bit. Drums could be better. They seem buried in the mix and lack punch.

4. RichieBee - Dance to this

Great job as usual. A bit fast to be danceable. Reminds me of a '70's era cop show theme. The lead horn stands out a bit too much for my taste.

5. Wilkoryte - Slow Dance

Very tasty playing! Very Clapton-esque. I love the bit right around the one minute mark. You've got your "Wonderful Tonight" now.

6. Col. G - MC Loser

Great groove and your usual off-color humor. Fun track!! I like it!

7. Scarabaeus - The return of Fonkenstein

Great funky groove. Props for putting in lots of lead guitar!! My only complaint would be that the horns sound really midi-ish. Getting Horns realistic sounding is tough though. Good Job!

8. Rockstar Not - Dance Song Serial #1

Great Clav! Nice synth lines too. I'd like to hear some vocals to keep the song more interesting.

9. Markleford - Rio Azul

Great Idea! The production is a bit Lo-Fi, but it probably suits it well. Fun Track!!

10. Jens Leuner - Nightclubbing

Nice Funky groove and produced well. I didn't care for the singing/lyrics that much.
