Summer of 69 - what a nice time this was! How much has changed since then.
Acoustic guitar, Organ, Mellotron - these instruments were very popular at that time:

Well my entry is full on classic rock, in true woodstock style.
Stuff used: Ambience Reverb, K's Classic Reverb, Classic Compressor, SFZ with GoldDrums and a bass soundfont, various crowd samples, and my starfield electric guitar running through Free Amp SE.
Enjoy!

Well, I'm inspired by the topic this month, so here's my first ever entry in one of these things.
It's the Anthem closing out Vurtstock...
vurtstock anthem
strat from Sonic Implants run through Voxengo's boogex and RoomVerb
edit: just want to mention as I do later that this one should be 1:58.
edited again: please forgive me...first entry ever, as I said... had to edit the name of the mp3.
final edit:Feeling that my little contribution this month is being mostly misunderstood (especially next to astanine's cool and tasteful "hey joe"), I'd like to add this visual:

You've touched the point this month.
I doubted about entering 'cause I'll start holidays in a couple days, but this month theme (or not theme ) was irresistible for me. I haven't eaten the brown trip nor the yellow snow (I think )
Lovechild
Born in the shadow of a love song
Where all the waters lay still
Where all the planets play in circles
There Lovechild lives
Born from a Godess and a human
Grown in the peace and harmony
Pure been became into materia
Who Lovechild is
Lovechild, awake
Aquarius' coming and we arriving late
Go to the children of the human
Don't let them fool by the say-say
Give them the fire of the knowledge
Give them the seed of the respect
Lovechild, awake
Foolish driving the destiny of earth

The Katanamen have just taken over Vurtstock with some anti-drug use metal. Get ready to suffer. I know I did recording this. I really did ruin my voice this time.
SPECIAL GIRL
Lyrics:
Thank you, crowd samples! Now this song's about a special girl I met the other day. It's called... Special Girl. Are you ready? You better be.
You looked sexy
I was high
You found me sexy
You were high
I smoked my weight in pot and you really looked hot
But now I know you're a dog
Body of an elephant
Face of a gorilla
You are the ultimate dog
Thought you were special now I know you're special
You're too ugly to be human
Now I'm pissed off because we're living together
I want to slash my wrists
Yeah, thank you. Just buy some T-shirts, you greedy f**ks!

I've simply called my entry Vurtstock
Featuring a broken Boss tu-12 tuner (amazing sounds) a Space*Synth a guitar and a trumpet - all played by yours truthfully.
Regarding the theme: This is the soundtrack I hear to those pictures of Vurtstock...
And I think this is my very best contest entry ever - so I'll probably end up last

I wasn't there, so I can only imagine what it was like. I'm still confused so I present for critique:
What is Vurtstock?
Lyrics:
I was here when I wasn't there.
I remember when I had hair.
Now I protect myself from further stares,
By shooting off blinding glares.
Feathers mean not a thing to me (in reference to KVR Vurt and also a book, I guess, called Vurt that seems to be a fave of modern hippies)
Except what birds use when they must flee.
Plugins:
Vocals: Classic Compressor-->AriesVerb
Some african drums: sfz and sfz-->bionic delay
Twang guitar: Classic Compressor-->Classic Auto-filter-->Bionic Delay
Bass: Classic Compressor-->Boogex with Ampeg& SM57 impulse response for the cabinet
EP: Mr. Rays with built-in effects
synthy stuff: Triangle II -->AriesVerb
