It's been a while, so I'm gonna make some observations this month, but I'm not gonna get behind. Really. Something insightful or pithy almost every day. Really.
And in keeping with this months theme I'll use the words of vurt himself to guide me

youtm aquarian implosion
sounds from another dimension where they obviously have indulged in the brown acid. freaky bad trip

andreas e changes 69
ahh the soft sensitive sounds of aquarian folkies grooving in the meadow. soft porn hippie lovefest soundtrack.

woj whole lotta woj
spirited space rock blues jamming (compressed to 1:59, but I bet this tune went on about 20 minutes) with an overly excitable audience. feel the communal love, man.

hippie call to consciousnessan is an affirmation of life, love, freedom and lead recorder. groovy aquarian sounds.

synthy recasting (in spirit and form, although i swear you're quoting the MMC theme towards the end) of JH's classic woodstock (original) anthem. man, that cat just lit his Kontakt 2 box on fire!

ultra-goovy, cosmic and way far out. lovechild IS!

liqih
the acid hits and it's a wild whacked out trip through the space-time continuum.

Good ears! Actually, though, MMC all the way through ...
(or as much as the original was what it was...)

Katanaman-Special
Good dirty rock tune, I like it!
Productionwise it could have sounded fatter, but maybe a shitty argument.
Good arrangement with the synth/voice interchange though.

Wopelka-AquarianIntroduction
What a funny strange tune! Like the weird vocals too, good arrangement:
Everything's nice in the mix, sounds hippiefresh :)

Beardedone_Vurtstock
Mazy one. Goes ok for a imitated stoned session. Maybe too mazy for me.

Sepheritoh_nshawu
The strings and the drums don't fit very well together. It's an interesting piece of music,
BUT eg. the vocals(?) at 1:20 would have been appreciated to be more loud in the mix.
It seems to sort of a sketch, lots of ideas inside. should have be more worked out, but maybe this fragmentical thing was exactly the intention, what do I know?

respirator_vurtstock
This has a very nice athmosphere! Love it! :)

Diek-Lovechild
All along the lovechild ;) Like the vocals! Very good hippie-faktor!

rockstar_not-what is vurtstock
Very good production. Very intensive athmosphere.

Liquih-empire
Ooouh. Can't find words to describe it 8)

Papatomany-vurtstock anthem
No anthem to hum to, but star sppangled banner wasn't too :hihi:

WoJ-wholelottawoj
Nice sketch, was expecting more though, sorry

You(tm) - An Aquarian Explosion
Love the opening quote. The abstract microtonal intervals of the choir bring on visions of floating through space, but that's probably because of the Ligeti soundtrack to 2001...
I can hear this again and again, and I'm very impressed with it, not least for the time (you claim) it took you to construct it. If this is random, then random rules! Gorgeous voices, as well. You always make things sound so analog and live and real. I'm not jealous. Nope.

AndreasE - Changes69
I'm not happy with the guitar. It just sounds like MIDI guitar. The organ sounds better, and Mellotron is hard to screw up. I'm a Melloholic :)
The song is little more than a series of chords, and I find the sequence a little unmotivated or random, and it doesn't really do it for me. Nice enough, but it doesn't kick ass.

WoJ - WhollottaWoJ
The first of the crowd sample songs. The crowd is a little too wild, but on the other hand, I've been in crowds that responded to every guitar tone like this (AC/DC comes to mind, as does BBKing), so it's not unheard of. This riff has been done to death, though, and I don't think you bring something new to it. Cool sound and cool playing, but again, not quite erect enough... :)

Wopelka - An Aquarian Introduction
Deliciously authentic. I can just see the group of hippies sitting around a fire beside the pop-top VW van, oblivious to their lack of talent or other appeal, grooving together without the slightest notion of how to tune a guitar or play the recorder. They would have had a clay kazoo workshop earlier in the day, and the leftovers from the macrobiotic barbecue meal are being eaten by a couple of dogs with questionable pedigree (John and Yoko, maybe, or Zen and Art) while a couple of the girls are throwing frisbees at the stars. Made me smile. Singing the program is a good idea too.

papatomany - vurtstock anthem
Oof. I'm sorry, this was mostly annoying. I have hours of this kind of stuff on tape too, from drunken sessions that never went anywhere... Not a favourite with me. Sorry...

Diek - Lovechild
Someone already mentioned all along the watchtower, so I won't... This kind of song ought to sound like it's louder. There's something with the careful sound of it that makes the whole thing a bit thin, but it's cool. I like it. It should have had a rougher sound, with louder drums and more forced vocals, but most of all it lacks a proper ending. Hey, we all have to struggle with that two minute limit, you know... :)

liqih - Empire
More crowd samples, and a loooooong delay. This I like. It starts out as if it's going to be another rock anthem kind of thing, but quickly turns into a bad acid experience. The band is playing in the background, but all you can focus on is your own fear and loathing. Horribly real, for those of us who have had one of these... I wish it had a happy ending, but I still salute this nails-on-blackboard shudder from you. Ugh...

Katanaman - Special Girl
"Thank you, crowd samples"!!  That had us laughing so we didn't even notice the song at first. The mix is a bit hard to listen to, but this song kicks ass. It sounds loud and the synth bleep place keeper rhythm just makes it fly. I love it. Hands down. Another great Katanaman entry.

respirator - vurtstock
Gorgeous trumpet sound over whiplash noise eruptions? Lovely piece. The 'drummer boy' guitar is so endearing, and I wish you hadn't gone to the minor chord at 1.39. The trumpet creates sufficient melancholy imo... Don't be surprised if this gets a vote from me.

Rockstar_not - What is Vurtstock
Beautiful chords, cool, understated rhythms, gorgeous mix, pretty singing, cool words. I use the same setup for bass sometimes, but I can't make it sound this good. Lovely song. Thanks.

Beardedone - Vurtstock
Unpredictable, yet distinctively you? I love the quirky guitar melody, but the bass disappears a bit on my tiny speakers as I listen here at work... The drums are a little spastic, but I know you meant them to, and they're very well done. I'll give it another listen at home with better gear. Shortlisted.

Sepheritoh - Nshawu
I think that you could do much better with this material. The drumkit AND timpani combokind of kills it a little, I think, and the strings sound ... fake. But it's a good idea, pretty melody, makes me want to hear the final version. I like the way you think music, but I get a bit disappointed with the overall feel of it. Grand, yet it sort of falls apart. I don't know, there's something that works against it. But I like the idea.

thomekk - Gausamer summer
Melancholy track, could fit on Obcured by clouds or something like that. The redoubled vocals dominate a little too much, and the ending seems sudden, but I like it a lot. I don't know what gausamer means, but it sounds friendly and peaceful.

Sleek Month
Wouldn't download, mate :(

...xander - Grabacab
I already raved about this tune, which has both jazz, blues, urban ambience and experimental noises in it, is beautifully mixed and mindblowingly sung. The piano is drunk yet sharp as a tack, the horns are fantastic - laid back yet arrogant and eruptive... This is my favourite by far. Chapeau! Just listen to it. Man oh man. Yum.

nikP2000 - Space love theme in blue
Deliciously tasteful overtones, not much else. I love it. One of your best songs.

Hey man! I believe that you have my name wrong. I know you are referring to my track though.

The bass is definitely subbed at bit too much. I did not check this well enough as I was digging the sound on my Events too much to think about the probability it wouldn't translate well. Drummer is definitely spastic - I made him so :P .

Thanks for the review Hovmod! :D
