The whole concept of Beat Producer is to allow you to bring together all your loops in one really easy to use instrument. No big learning curve, it'll work without thinking too much but also gives you a lot of power when needed. On top of that we want to give you access to the best loops around and make it very affordable too. Beat Producer does that as it is but Solo completes the picture allowing you to access Beat Producer Expansion Libraries without any additional cost.[/img]

Hi, I downloaded the standalone version of beatproducer and I feel like a real dummy because I just cannot get it to play for the life of me.

I can load a sample, scroll through all the options and dials, everything looks good... but how do I kick off the sequencer and get this thing making some sound?

Where's the Play button?

thanks!

Cool. There's not play button to find. You or your sequencer trigger BP. You set things up and then to continuously play a loop send a MIDI control to play it each bar (oe two or 4 or whatever it is or you want). It would need to be a full sequencer to have a play button really and there's no point doing that when everyone already has a dedicated sequencer anyway?

Just FYI if you click and hold samples in the preview display they will play and play at the hosts tempo too so you can preview roughly if they work if you play an existing sequence whilst reviewing them. Then load, hit record and play a few notes in where necessary to actually add them to your track, etc.

Hope this makes sense. 8)
