I used to hate getting rid of all it's components. The uninstallers would always leave parts of it lurking around. Horrible program.

No it doesn't afaik. At least with my latest machine which I bought last year, there was a trial version pre-installed, and I had to remove the damn thing virtually with pliers. Virtual pliers, that is.
Norton stuff is smth to keep away from at all costs, sure.
