note lenght limiter - midiloopa related

i'm using midiloopa in a liveset, in a very basic way for now,
i need a midiplug capable of liming the min and max lenght of notes.

now i'll try to explain what i do in this live song.
* i use a single loop
* to have a fixed loop lenght of 4 measures, i just recorded some notes in the first loop- that's the only way i found to have a loop with fixed lenght saved with the main project.
these notes are then filtered out(they are in midi ch 1, and the melody i record live is played on channels 2 and 4, so the notes on channel 1 anre filtered out)
*to avoid fake notes to be recorded when i hit record while i'm playing i made a plugin with maxmsp that turn every note off before sending the record cc

* there is a problem that i have to solve: sometimes (i don't know why) some note offs are not recorded properly and midiloopa extends the lenght of notes till the end of the loop
that's not a problem for drum sounds, but it's a tedious problem if you want to build a synth melody live!!

so....

as a workaround , for now, i would need a lenght limiter, that can be put after midiloopa to avoid too long notes to disturb the melody
