Cannon was the fat one? There was a whole phalanx of shows like that from the 70's - Barnaby Jones, Mannix...

He may have been slimline-challenged, but he was a heck of an actor for that part.

Breaks new ground in brutality and sets the benchmark to alarming levels.

Is that a requirement to be a good action movie :scared:

No. It's a requrement to a candidate for the best ever action movie. :hihi:

'Noah' - decent. At least two scenes ruined for me. One by a hanging belt (probably) that leaves the impression of a man's you know what outside the pants. The second by a young mother starting to sing and ruining the tension of the scene.

Arbitrage. Richard Gere is such a good actor, and this is a good film about why good things happen to bad people...

Very upset Tatiana Maslany was snubbed (again) at the Emmys. At least they got a BAFTA last year. I hope McConaughey wins though. He SO deserves that.

As was Peter Dinklage AND Lena Headey AND Timothy Holypants AND Joelle Carter AND Andrew Lincoln.

You won't see "Les Revenants" nominated or "The Walking Dead"... That is because the people who cast the ballots are incredibly conservative and truly ignorant and they HATE science fiction, fantasy and horror. They will not watch them and they will not vote for them.

"Grey Gardens" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758751/?ref_=nv_sr_3 - starring Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore.

Very much inspired by and based on the 1975 documentary of the same title by the Maysles brothers (who did "Gimme Shelter").
"Grey Gardens" documentary - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073076/?ref_=nv_sr_2

True story about Jackie Kennedy Onassis' cousins, Big Edie and Little Edie, who lived in a decaying mansion on Long Island, nearly entirely mad and forgotten about.

You should see this because of Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore. Incredible acting. Never seen two people on and meshing like that.
