What guitar is included in StrumMaker IV? Is it one of the four in Acoustic Guitar Collection or is it a new one? If it's new, what make and model? Incidentally, there's a reference to Delta Blues in the draft user guide (page 9) -- I'm guessing that that's a mistake.

Also, is the ETA still late this month?

Thanks for asking!

StrumMaker IV is a completely new product. The guitar is a great sounding Epiphone, and is much more deeply sampled than our previous acoustic guitars.
The strum engine was built from scratch and is much easier to use, and we used a modified version of the Delta Blues' GUI for the manual playing instrument ( and, yes, I did copy parts of the DB user guide). I'll have to fix that.
SM4 is flat pick style. The plan is to release "refills" of new guitars in the future that will load into the SM4 structure.
I'm just troubleshooting and testing now, and I hope to have it done within a day or so.

Since SM4 contains all new material, there most likely won't be a discount for existing customers, but it will be priced in our normal range.

Hi,

It doesn't say specifically in the manual - but can I pick *exactly* which strings I want to use on a chord? For example, can I play a barre chord on just 4th, 5th and 6th strings?

SM3 only lets me do a minimum of 4 or 5 strings at a time.

Yes, you can. The little white buttons on the headstock allow you to have any strings you want active (or not). You don't have to choose from preset configurations.
