i've been getting an an inexplicable delay/doubling effect when i use the
internal sound card on my Asus laptop.
i normally use a compact motu interface for audio and this doesn't happen.
i've been using winamp(dsp disabled) because of the visualizers, and, as it
won't output thru the motu ,i have to use the stock sound card.
i've disabled the onboard reverb(control panel>sounds)but the delay is still
there.
does anybody know how to solve this?(it's really intrusive)
thanks matt ritti

Probably the built in drivers doing it.
A lot of them have fancy-pants reverb/spatial features.
Try a driver update.

Thanks for the reply,
i wound up getting of the echo by unchecking
the "listen to this device"(?)in playback and recording.
(some box or other....)
