Surprisingly, the prices aren't so bad. The PCIe cards themselves are around 30 bucks. There are 2 classes of device - one that takes regular SSDs, and one that uses the "memory stick" type disks.

The 2nd type is around 1.5 times faster, and of course the disks are more expensive, but the first type uses normal SSD so reasonably affordable.
