Hello,
I'm planning to buy a new Mac Pro.
At the moment I'm using a FireFace 800 via Firewire on my iMac.
Does anybody know if there could be problems when connecting the FireFace 800 via a Firewire-to-Thundebolt-adapter to the new Mac Pro?
Thanks,
Florian

You need to buy a Firewire card.

Apple makes an adapter; however, I wouldn't trust it to work with that interface:

Have to agree with UltraJv - get a firewire card. Just make sure it has TI chipset when you select one.

Happy Musiking!

Best thing is to ask RME.

I can't say for sure about MP or others experiences, but the adaptor had been working great for all interfaces I threw at it, including FF800 on both new and old macbook pros. IMO worth trying first before you throw money at an expensive TB PCI chassis
