Hi all,

Quick favour to ask.

If anyone here has an i7-6700K, can you grab the Strobe 2 demo

Run it standalone, go to the settings menu (wrench/spanner icon), choose "Diagnostics" and let me know what Synthmark score it reports.

FWIW I get 6.35 on a 6600K with the cores locked in at 4.2ghz. A stock 6700k turbos up to the same speed so it should in that ballpark, though of course there are some other differences (extra 2MB of cache, hyperthreading).

Thanks! Seems about the same as Haswell Devils Canyon then - best result we've seen is one of our beta testers who got 6.8 on a 4790k Hackintosh (not sure if overclocked). My poor old 2008 MacPro scores a measly 1.7 (though to be fair, it's a single-core benchmark).

Hi. I've got a 6700K @ 4.5 GHz. Synthmark score of 6.679992

Thanks! Have you tried 32 and 64 bit? The latter can be a fair bit faster, sometimes. x64 has some features that allow the compiler to generate faster, more efficient code, often by 20% or so.

Yep, score of 6.687384 in 64 bit standalone mode.

Should anyone be interested; on a Surface Book i7 my Synthmark score is 4.987

Anyone with a 6700K yet?
