Hello,

I recently upgraded to Cubase 8.5 from Cubase 7 and am now experiencing a problem which renders my ability to move faders and a few other things with my left mouse button useless. It seems to be triggered by pressing control on my keyboard and clicking on my mouse. The problem doesn t occur if I unplug my keyboard, but that s obviously an impractical solution. I use an Apple keyboard with a Logitech M500 mouse on a Win7 computer. Could it be an issue with using an Apple keyboard in a Windows version of C8.5? I never had a problem with this setup in C7. Here s a link to a post from a few years ago in the Steinberg Knowledge Base where someone else perfectly describes it:

I ve updated all of my drivers, bypassed preferences, and uninstalled/reinstalled the application--nothing has fixed it! I submitted a request to Steinberg for support, but thought KVR might be able to help too.

Best regards

After days of troubleshooting, I discovered the source of the problem. It was the latest version of Synergy (1.7.6), not a Cubase bug. Everything is now working as it should. Hopefully this information is helpful to others who (God forbid) experience this.

Best regards
