Headphone Amp & Asio4all Dilemna

I have a Fiio usb headphone amp as my primary headphone audio because the headphone jack on my computer is broken, so it's my only option atm. My problem is that I'm using this in FL studio rather than asio4all, and it causes the cpu load to get out of control fast.
Is there a way I can use asio4all to reduce cpu load to a reasonable, manageable level and still have audio coming through the headphones?
This will not work for long if I can't find a solution. Do I need a new DAW? Getting the jack repaired is currrently not an option, no one around here does cpu hardware repair, only software.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Are you seriously suggesting that a USB device uses up more than 1% of your CPU? How come you're so sure about that?
Dunno from what year you get your info, but these days Asio4All is not the magic cure for CPU load problems.
Could you describe what sort of computer you have (exact CPU type), and what plugins are in your typical project?

It sounds like something you should be able to do, is the problem that you don't see the headphone amp in ASIO4ALL's WDM Device List?
Can you try using FL Studio ASIO instead? I'd hope that you should be able to assign your headphone amp as an output there.

Bert: on FL Studio it shows a 50% + load with the headphone amp (there is a meter on top panel w/in the DAW, not task manager) asio4all brings it down to nothing ie 0 but then i cannot hear anything. I've increased buffer already due to overruns.
mrcleats: yeah i tinkered w/ input/outputs in audio settings and got it to work w/ FL Asio, but the cpu load looks more or less the same as with the Fiio amp which surprised me. Like I say, with Asio4All it drops immediately down to 0%.

Status update: now doing the same thing and asio4all works, however it crackles worse than running it through my headphone amp, so it wasn't the boon in improved latency/cpu load it seemed to be the last time I checked. So I'm still f**ked but shall now look at taking other measures. 10 tracks on the mixer, handful of inserts (most have 2-3) on each w/ i7 & 2016 computer and I'm getting underruns & cpu overload, doesn't sound right to me, but what do i know. All the plugins are light on cpu, i checked w/ each as I set them up. Something doesn't add up.

buy a relatively cheap output only audio interface with proper ASIO drivers, the native instruments traktor audio 2 would be my pick, small, good solid low latency drivers.

yeah i'm looking at my options, thanks for the suggestion jdnz. If i had enough more cash atm i'd buy my way out of the problem. Then I could have all the effects. Plugins littering every square pixel of screen space, if i so desire. A man can dream.
