On youtube most of the videos about the Kawai Ex Pro have been made when that product was for Kontakt. So my question is: Does the UVI version sound as good as the Kontakt version? Does the piano have the same resonance in both versions?
Because Lance Herring's demos are very nice.
Another question: Does the Kawai Ex Pro UVI version sound at least as good as the Motif version?

Hi,
The old Kontakt version and the UVI version use the same samples so they basically sound almost the same.
The main difference is that we revoiced it completely (which means that we tweaked the volume, crossfades and filters) to make it even more realistic.
Also if you are scared of the fact that this is UVI, don't be, UVI Workstation is actually the MachFive 3 player which has gotten many rewards for its sound quality.
And compared to the Motif version, the Motif uses the same samples, but just 1/8 of them which means that the UVI version has way more detail and also allows for a powerful script that allows stuff like sostenuto for example but also many more. The UVI version also has 3 microphone positions that you can choose from whereas the Motif one only has one position.
