vocoderII(64) in brainspawn forte live vst host

ive just tried to replace vocoder 1 with vocoder 2 in my live forte setup. i set it up exactly like vocoder 1, but no sound is produced unless i use the jbridged version. what could i be doing wrong? i have 1 audio input channel setup, then put vocII as an insert. the ch is getting signal, but is not processing it thru to the bus.
