curious. do you have to be connected to the internet when using some or most apps on the ipad?

There is very rarely an an that needs some sort of 'purchase confirmation' for IAPs, but I only have one app that does; 99.9% of the time, no you don't, and in fact, I turn my network off if I'm making music, or recording. Sometimes it's better to use 'Airplane' mode as well - it depends on what you're doing.
