Hi All,

I found a couple of free synths last night in Google Play. I want to share.

1) Osc Synth - An Oscilator synth https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... rene.synth
2) Puresynth - An Additive synth https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .pureSynth

Thanks. God Bless.

These two are made with Pure Data,
which is interesting as it is a nice programming language for music and visuals that even I can learn...
There is also Anthro synth that is really interesting also made with Pure Data.
the osc synth is not too good,
Anthro synth is pretty interesting drawable waveform and all that and Pure Synth looks interesting even though haven't been able to try it yet as both my tablet and phone are too weak.. all three for freeeeeeeeeee...

What a pitty!, Can you tell me what happen when you try to load it?

pureSynth has only 3 weeks of life, I'm trying to debug at all. But there are many kinds of devices. you know man. Really, I need your help to know how many devices can not running pureSynth properly.

Please let me know.

When I tried to load it the screen froze up every time. Had to hit the back button several times before it quit.

Ok, I've published again the old version but with the new beats. In a few hours it should be reachable, please update it.
When I'm totally sure that new version runs properly in all devices then I publish it again. Sorry for the inconveniences and thank you for reporting to me the bug.

Redownloaded PureSynth. It works now but takes some working out. Is there a manual?

There is no manual but I can explain you the basics:

Application features: dragging a finger vertically over pad you can select the note range and dragging it horizontally you can move between sequences. One delay for whole synths, the button placed in each synthesizer is only a bypass button, you can control delay effect from main menu. The rest is obvius.

Maybe this is not so obvius:

Additive synthesis: it's a primitive kind of synthesis. You have many oscillators and the amplitude control of them, mixing differents combinations of amplitudes you can modify the timbre of the sound.

Envelope: pureSynth includes an ADSR envelope. Usually for sequencers by steps is.. you know the duration of a note, therefore the envelope autoadjust it to its duration but this way you have less creation options for your sounds(you can not make long or short notes without modify the tempo). So, I decided have total control of it.
Clarifying, if the envelope it's configured to be shorter than one step in the sequencer this does the expected work but If the envelope it's configured to be longer than one step and you have close notes, before the envelope finish it start again with the next note. Do you understand me? I hope yes.

Maybe I should write a manual.

Sorry for my English :?, I'm Spanish.

Hey.
You could write the manual in Spanish and it can be translated by me...
Live in Valencia and have translated before and would be glad to do it!
Free like your synth of course.

If you decide to write it please send what you want translated to

Hello,

five years later I've launched a new version of pureSynth  . It has new views to control sequences and synths, better sound effects and it's possible to record output to a .wav file. Please try it! I need some feedback to improve it. :help:
