OK, you can totally do that with Garageband's organs. I will see about recording something this week and posting the clips here in this thread. I think you are over-complicating things trying to use external effects, etc.

The 2nd clip in particular. The first clip has some issues with the organ itself - you won't be able to duplicate what sounds like a tone-wheel issue on specific notes with any particular plugin.
