Yes, even if you don't plan to use it, you may decide you want it later. Download it now while it is still free, and you can delete if if you want. You'll then have it available in your purchases list for free download later, if you decide you need it. It's normally $20, so it's a steal right now, and only on sale for the 5th year anniversary of the app store! :-)

Animoog = YES!
Thor = YES!
Traktor = YES!

Now pick a DAW that fits your needs. I use Multitrack DAW, but it is light on bells and whistles. It is a very solid 24 track (8 track at a time) DAW with an awesome per channel compressor. A very nice reverb and several other goodies, but there are some other great DAWs that are offering some amazing features as well.
Auria looks good to me for those needing a feature rich DAW. I just can't afford it at this time.

MultiTrack DAW also runs smoothly on older hardware, which Auria does not.

What's your specific criticism? Mine would be that Animoog can sound metallic; a lot of patches do. But it doesn't have to, as I think this video demonstrates.

The hell is wrong with you people.

I asked for an audio example of Animoogs "uber fat, warm and deep sounds those smooth Moog filters working on overdrive together with the crazy detunes gives you", to back up that ridiculous claim.

And one posts a video to show that Animoog can sound non-metallic, one calls me a troll, and another idiot posts some random, non related video response.

I don't know why you're all acting this way, but I'm still waiting for chris1a to backup that claim.

Insert the "can't come to bed now, someone on the Internet is wrong!!" cartoon that I'm sure everyone has seen....

I'm sure one of you socially awkward pretend-musicians have that handy.
Because that IS after all much more important than actually spreading idiotic claims like "warmer and phatter".
