Cubasis vs Auria vs Meteor?

I'm looking to get a DAW for my ipad retina and am unsure as to how well each of these work etc.
I already own Cubase 7.5 on my studio PC but would like something to use on my ipad to use with an Allen & Heath Zed 10fx mixer. Also is it possible to load something like Sampletank iOS within any of these DAW's?

Auria records audio only, though MIDI is coming in the future.
You can't technically load other apps into an app, the way you could with VSTs on desktop software.
Auria offers many plugins as additional purchases though.
And you can use AudioBus to send audio from one app to another.

You can use Sample Tank via interapp audio in both Cubasis and Meteor the limitation being you can only have one instance of ST running. However if you freeze the track you can build up a range of different ST samples on different tracks.

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning towards Cubasis due to the familiar workflow and comparability with Cubase.

Cubasis is THE most annoying app you can think of - undo stops the playback and in order to hear changes in the midi editor you have to restart the playback - these issues make it an EPIC FAILURE in my book. i'm glad i got my refund.

Hello,
I still do not understand why would someone undo while playing back?
And also, why would it be SUCH an annoyance?
Cubasis will have to stop because it has to revert completely to a previous backup of the project and it doesn't even take a second to do that.
Besides the GUI is much easier and friendly to use, and with todays update it is one of the most complete apps:

quite easy to explain : when programming rhythms i always change velocities and move some hits back and forth while looping the beat - so undoing a move stops the playback and stops the flow. when i change a velocity to get that beat going i don' want to mess around with stopping and starting the playback just to hear one single change!!! other apps can do both ( and do cost just a fraction of Cubasis ). These two issues are real showstoppers in my books ymmvGuillermo Navarrete wrote:Hello,

Hello,
"Unfortunately we can't change the behaviour of the undo function anytime soon because when tapping undo, Cubasis actually loads an old state (a backup) of the whole project. This can't be done during playback.
Improving (or recoding) the undo system to only perform one action instead of loading an old version of the project file will take many months as we would need to recode everything from scratch. We have this on our feature request list, however due to other high priority tasks (automation, tempo track, time-stretch, etc.) the undo behaviour won't be changed in near or mid-term."
Best regards,
GN
In that case I understand your disappointment. I think Auria is the most 'prof' DAW and supports (iOS) plugins like Fabfilter and PSP audioware Echo - but as mentioned: audio only. Very analoguesque style GUI so if you're comfortable with that plus don't need MIDI it's a solid option.
Personally I prefer Cubasis and Nanostudio.
Cubasis has such a intuitive GUI and is a real pleasure to work with. InterApp audio support and frequent updates. I find myself loading it up every time I need to lay down some quick ideas. Love it! Only flipsides are the absolute horrible native sounds (even the micrologue synth is very meak) and the price... especially compared to Nanostudio:
Nanostudio is about as good considering functionality as Cubasis for an inch of the price. Very deep synth and X/Y pad and a no-nonsense GUI. Bit of a hassle though to load samples as it has no interapp audio (yet) but you could use a dedicated sampler with Audiobus.

Agree and disagree at the same time (if that makes any sense)...
I think that for Cubase PC/MAC users "on the run", Cubasis is the way to go, especially that it includes not only Audio, but MIDI recording as well.
Also there are in app purchases (plug-ins) for Auria, that will cost a pretty penny if you want to unlock its full potential...
For everyone else, well, there are many other options for iOS...
Personally (not that it matters), I rank Cubasis as the best all round DAW for iOS (and I do own them all)...

Why would you engineer it this way??
i'm about to buy an iPad, so i'm looking up what people are saying about Cubasis online. i had been interested in it... until reading about these issues! i want iPad software that is fully real-time, not "hold on a second, stop/start" to recognize changes the user makes to things. That's so old school it doesn't belong in modern software.

Hello,
It doesn't stop if you add or do changes, only if you redo, which is dependant on your workflow. If you added something and you don't like it you can delete it instead.
