MIDI Pitch bend range is not global - WHY??

Hi all,
Just want to share how f*ing bad is that I need to set pitch bend range for every sound patch in some IOS apps that I bought long time ago. As a guitar player I have few controllers that have different bend range (2, 12, and even strange 4)
Now imagine how I can use them interchangeably with some dumb apps:
Bend range Is NOT global, set for every patch:
SunrizerXS (also Sunrizer)
Nlog Pro[/list][/list]
Bend range is not there (set to default = 2)
Sample tank

Bend range is global:
Magellan Jr
DXi
ThumbJam (of course it could not do wrong)

Can you explain me why it is designed that way ? May be you miss this too and how other MIDI apps do it.
