Haven't seen anything about price, or upgrade possibilities.

I have no doubt this one will be amazing. They have been working on this a long time and beta testing for awhile too. Can't wait to get this. BM2 is still my favorite all around mutitimbral capable app. I've been running my Virus Ti in multi mode with it and use empty keyboard instruments set to different midi channels for synth tracks and use the drum sampler for single sample hits and sequenced drums from kits.

Just worried about performance and price.
And the quality of sounds and effects. Most of the factory ones in BM2 sucked.

you can use Audio units if you don't like the onboard fx. There's not a whole lot yet and seems slow to catch on.

Nearly every new release so far this year has been AU, far from slow to catch on, seems to be taking over.

I hope but so far there's way more IAA than AU.

That isnt really quantafiable, one has been around a lot longer than the other.

Plus IAA makes sense for some apps that AU does not, IAA from one sequencer to another makes sense, AU of sequencers not so much, example Cubasis IAA but it wont ever be AU.

True. I hope it picks up faster though. As far as I know, AU came with ios 9 and were going on 11 now. Virsyn seems to be porting his apps over to AU slowly which is really good.

AU came with 9 but it takes new developers to create a push forward, older developers like the Audiobus developer for instance is very vocal about why Au is terrible and uneeded and waste of effort and blah blah blah, just because it encroaches his golden goose, then somebody like bram bos comes along and everybody sees exactly why AU is the future and older develooers join the rush.

Exact same thing happened with VST by the way, there will be a lot of current "big guys" in IOS development that just disappear in the next couple of year as the pro side becomes super niche like VST.
