Just curious. Were these cut & paste issues confined to the Phrase Editor specifically, or were they more widespread across RC in general?

The paste issues were only in the Phrase Editor. It uses a different, simpler history handler than the rest of the application where the state of a whole composition must be stored. The lack of adding a state to a simple list was the problem.

Ah. Undo history is one of those deep features that is very challenging to maintain to be completely bug-free.

Another area of RC where I still encounter issues is the song Structure Inspector; especially when re-ordering the song parts via drag & drop. Unfortunately, as of yet, I have been unable to find a series of reproducible steps.

Hmm... it looks like the Melody Generators in the Phrases list of the Idea Tool are displaying the total number of beats. That is, the number of beats per bar (selected on the timeline track) multiplied by the number of bars selected for the Phrases->Generators setting.

Yes, the number of beats (quarter notes) are displayed in the list. These phrases have a specific length. You can change the signature anytime, the phrase length in the list should remain the same. Maybe a bars.beats display would help, but the seeing number of beats is always clearer. IMHO

Hi Attila,

thks for this and good news about 3.1 but ...

I have an issue with RC in standalone shld send midi clock and start/Stop/continue midi frames, I did check all these options in the settings.

Tried with virtual port or Hardware Midi port with Reason 9 , Fl Studio or LIve 9 DAWs.
But nothing is output from RC to DAW, I put MidiOX or MidiMonitor and do see nothing from RC.

It's working in the other way, midiclock from DAW to RC .

Hi Jean-Luc,

MIDI start/stop is sent only when there is at least one MIDI track (using a "MIDI" instrument, like "General MIDI") in your composition. E.g. when you have only tracks using soundfonts and/or VSTi plug-in, MIDI start/stop will not be sent.

MIDI start/stop is sent to all MIDI outputs. For example when you have a track using "MIDI Output 1" and another one sending events to "MIDI Output 2", then start/stop are sent to both MIDI ports.

I did not understand that, it is now working well with all my DAWs .

This is why we definitly need an up to date documentation on RC, think about it and for sure you we sell more licenses of this wonderful tool
