Hello lulukom,
Your description does not give us much to go on so it will not be possible to answer your question direct.
There is another thread here with many video tutorials by Chris Caulder. These are very helpful to learn how to use Rapid Composer. Please do yourself a favor and review these.
Here is the thread: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=391822
The manual is also really good now and can be a wealth of information.
I am confident if you take the time to review the videos and manual you will find answers to the many questions I am sure you have.

Hi lulukom,
if you want to import a MIDI track as it is, you should remove the checkmark from the 'CONVERT' checkbox for that track. That way the notes remain absolute notes.
If you want to use the existing master track chords when importing MIDI, you need to check 'CONVERT' and 'Add Imported Tracks To Current Composition', and uncheck 'ANALYZE'.

Thanks musicdevel! This sensible answer! But in the process of learning programs
I still have a lot of questions, I hope to get them from the creators
programs and other users! Thank you!

And I want to ask: why so often demo crash on different operations (Mac OS X Maveriks)? If you buy the full version, everything will be stable? (Actually strange advertising) But of course the program is super!

Hi ronky!
No, I am afraid if you found the demo version crashing, the full version will also crash.
Although I tested RC on Mavericks, there may be issues because of the new OS X version. As far as I know from user feedback, RC is now pretty stable on other OS X versions.
It would help if you send me the steps that led to crash, maybe with crash report. I will check every problem.
Thank you!
Attila

Please respond (I have not studied it yet))), which means "selected phrase is not a generator" ? (I imported the midi file) and how to make the phrase has become a generator? Or something I do not understand ?
p.s. put the program on 10.7.5 OC X to another computer as long as everything works well

Hi
you can't convert imported midi/phrase to the Generator,
also , i didn't understand that:
why you try to make generator from imported phrase?
save to browser?
...
anyway
do not get confused; yes Generators also in the Phrase Browser but
Generators one of the intelligent parts of RC.
not a simple phrase , they are creators of phrases ...sort of .

Hello lulukom,
there are two kinds of phrases in RapidComposer: 'normal' phrases and phrase generators. The difference is that phrase generators have a built-in algorithm to create the notes of the phrase.
When you see 'Selected phrase is not a generator' that is not an error.
You can add phrase generators by drag-and-drop from the phrase browser, or selecting a phrase generator and double-clicking where you want to add it.
When you import a MIDI file, all phrases are 'normal'.
Thanks,
Attila
