When I play a rhythm-pattern which I have imported, I obviously don't want it to get transposed by the chords in the master-track. How do I do that, please?
When I try to set its type to "Percussion" in the Track Inspector
the display of the pattern changes to this one-line-version:
- which would not be so bad in and of itself - but the sound also stops!
And when I change the soundfont back to something where I do get a sound, the display changes back to a note-related display.
So I guess, I haven't really understood how to properly use a drum pattern. Could someone please fill me in? Thanks.

"transposed by the chords in the master-track"
seems you are converted that drum midi to Relative Form
remember to keep in Absolute form
especially:
-Drum Phrases
-Melody Phrases (imported for harmonizing)
...
and for the drum "kit" phrases use Normal mode not the "Percussion" mode.
---normal mode means Track will cover/access all the drum pieces.
---percussion mode means track will play / access only one note/pitch/element of drum-percussion kit.
...
when you want to import a drum midi from ableton just drag n drop midi file directly to a "RC Track"
no need to use MIDI Import page...
that's it, nothing more...
if you want to save this phrase in to your custom phrases
right click to phrase open inspector
(do not convert to Relative Form !)
just save it...
as in the gif i uploaded a few post ago.
(plus)
in your first screenshot (Track Inspector)
i see
"Type : Percussion"
"Note: "Select" ....means you need to select a note here ...
probably this is why sound stops; you can't hear any sound.

You can also add a rhythm pattern to the rhythm browser by Ctrl-dragging a phrase, and dropping it directly on the Rhythm browser. You can provide a name and a group.
Sorry about the lack of drum maps, and percussion editing possibilities. This will be improved after v3.0 is released.
Thank you for the replies, dsan and yellukhan, much appreciated!
Thanks,
Attila

Wow!
"Ctrl-dragging a phrase, and dropping it directly on the Rhythm browser"
how did i miss that!
seems my "save rhythm workaround" gif was meaningless!
so we can save rhythms direcly from:
-imported midi
-custom phrases
...
Thank you Attila!
we can save rhythm from even Phrases Browser to Rhythm Browser via this Ctrl-drag method!

I know it is hard to follow the new features. I will definitely need to spend a few days with updating the wiki to explain all these rhythm stuff.
I was thinking about doing a similar thing with phrases (dropping any phrase on the phrase browser to save it) but all keyboard modifiers are already used during dragging a phrase. Maybe using the right Ctrl or Alt key would be a solution to quickly save a phrase in the browser.
Thanks again for your replies!

i have a feature request.
in the phrase variations, how about one where a chord could be inserted at some rhythmic interval and maybe based on the phrase tonality. this is similar to Add Chord Notes but only occurring say 1/2 bar more or less and the notes added are based on the phrase.
this is like throwing a chord into say the arpeggiator generator or other phrase.
just a thought!

Very nice of you, yellukhan. I don't know how to say thanks for your efforts other than providing a life-long license to you and all other contributors on this forum, who helped me a lot with replies, creating videos and mock-up screenshots. This is a huge help which I am very grateful for.Quick demonstration of how to Save Rhythm ... i'll make "Use Rhythm" soon.

me thanks Attila,
no need to do anything "other than" you are already doing!
personally i do not think its an extra effort what i share in general...
plus i am having fun while making videos even creating phrases to share
to me its just a way of saying thank you because of your effort & helpful RC user community!
Warm Regards!
