Great writeup! It's amazing how realistic your can get a guitar to sound using shreddage. It's all about thinking "how would a real guitarist play this section," rather than blindly writing parts and wondering why your guitar lines sound like music made my robots.

I think it's better to rewrite the tutorial from the ground up, it's been 6 years, and a lot has changed.

Erm....don't be too sure about that statement. There have been a multitude of software that has been released which have come under extreme criticism due to being released too early.
