vol--->velocity does not work in Shreddage 2?

I am just using the sustain articulation and changed the vol range from 1-127 for it in the articulation settings page. I have also activated the vel->volume button on the 'engine 2' page. But I am not getting any volume changes if I hit a key hard or softly - so missing any volume dynamics for sustain notes. Is there something wrong with vel->volume setting? Or something wrong in my setting? Any response will be apreciated. Thanks.
