Generate tones without using midi input

Hi. I want to use sonigen to generate continous tones rather than playing notes on a keyboard. Is there a way to do this? I've just got a basic pulsaw connected to the voicemixer. If I hit a key on my midi controller it plays the tone, but I can't figure out how to trigger it without using a midi controller. Any help appreciated!
