Would it be possible to have more colours for the background of the modules themselves ?
Or would this impact on performance ?

Edit: I mean having different colours for individual module backgrounds, e.g. I could colour my filter module background differently to an envelope or an oscillator etc.

It wouldn't effect performance but it's not something the current skinning code supports. Eventually i'd like to expand the skin features a bit more but it's low priority ATM.
