3.5mm stereo jack to XLR - is this possible?

I am wanting to run audio from a tablet to a mixing desk. It onlyhas one viable stereo line in which I need for the keyboard, but it does have XLR sockets on the first two channels. Is it possible to create a 3.5mm mini stereo jack to an XLR and still retain a stereo audio feed? and if so are there impedance mismatches and shielding I need to be aware of?
