Unresponsive private message area

Since kvr was upgraded (was that about a year ago?) the message area is glitchy. When I open a message there is a long pause where I cannot scroll the page. Sometimes up to about 60 seconds. When I click in the edit area to type a message the pause always happens worse. Everytime I go to write a message I click in the edit area and wait at least 20 seconds to be able to type anything. This issue occurs exactly the same on my PC running Win x64, Samsung Galaxy TAB 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 4s. I'm using Mozilla 37.0.1 on the PC. Usually either Chrome or Firefox on the mobile devices but I also use the default Samsung browser whatever that's called..
