Thank you Simon. You've been overwhelmingly generous to your Iris subscribers!

Just had a more serious look at the #20 set. Lovely, interesting Irregularities is a stand out, Pastoral is interesting and could work well with some pluck sounds, spaced apart. Lots of possiblities to explore.
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Made a track from Patchpool Iris Subscription set #20:
Dark Places
Pastoral
And
the Patchpool Modelled Realtiy patches for Chromaphone:
Muted Dream Harp
Bowed Detune Strings
Strange Drums
Asian Metal
No ekstra effects, although I tweaked the reverb on the muted Dream Harp.

Your welcome! I'm really enjoying working with Simons sounds.. Too bad I haven't Reaktor as I'd love to try the No Boundries sounds..matteogk wrote:Hi, loved the track! THX!TwoToneshuzz wrote:Made a track from Patchpool Iris Subscription set #20:

Yeah, nice track Wade - very much story telling - sitting at night on a wooden bench in front of a little house in the dark woods listening to the creatures of the night, a small bird singing although it should be sleeping, but in this world everything is different anyway.

Nice desription. The sounds in set#20 can be used in a myriad of ways. Evoking images of Deepest night, or the full light of midday..
I've done a lot of camping, and yes birds do sing/signal at night. Especielly if they sense a change in the weather.

Fitting title, but still dripping with emotion, sad but elated. Lots of different dimensions and depths.Sampleconstruct wrote:Here comes the demo for a new Iris patch from the upcoming subscription Set No. 21 - Calmer than Life - some VVVerb was used:

Great sound set, Can't wait to use it. I have a request if possible sometime in the future, can you do any sets with human voices or animals sounds?Sampleconstruct wrote:Here comes the demo for a new Iris patch from the upcoming subscription Set No. 21 - Calmer than Life - some VVVerb was used:

Thank's Bob - hiring a vocalist for making samples (also for Iris) is definiteley on my todo list, I have made some Iris patches with animal sounds actually (or was it only 1 sound), I will go through my library and see if there are some more animal sounds that inspire me. Then when spring comes it's time for new field recordings anyway, including birds, goose, ducks, dogs, cats and maybe a visit in the nearby zoo.Bobbotov wrote:Great sound set, Can't wait to use it. I always featured the sound of Kathy Berberian who has done a lot of avante garde performances and has one of those felxible voices that allows her to create so many interesting inflections.Sampleconstruct wrote:Thank's Bob - hiring a vocalist for making samples (also for Iris) is definiteley on my todo list,Bobbotov wrote:Great sound set, Can't wait to use it. Material like this would be so fantastic a resource to have to work with and with granular control could create some extraordinary variations.
Just my thoughts.

Yeah, but artists like that don't like to be hired nor sampled
I tried hiring a famous avantgarde vocal ensemble from the UK last year and they refused, they did not want to be sampled at all. So it ain't easy finding a true vocal artist for sampling but I'll find someone eventually.
