It feels quiet good when after ages of cutting samples instruments playable come to life:
2 timpani patches in this quick and dirty 7/8-jam - the main patch has 3 different sampled pitches (D1 - G1 - B1) spread out over 1+octave - 5 velocity layers (the hihest 2 played with a hard beater for punchy punch), 8x round robin. Then there is a patch where each timp is playable over 2 octaves, I used this for the fast syncopated sequences in the high range in the demo below. Then there are not yet patched flams, dynamic swells, upbeats and plenty of pedal glissandi. 600+ MB/200+ timp samples altogether - yipeeee....

2 timpani patches in this track: "Bouncing Timps Granular" made with granulated samples of dropping rubber balls on the timp and then moving the pedal up and down (sending the sound through the Auto Wah FX in the end of the demo) - and "Timpani Dynamic Rolls" with several dynamic timp rolls/swells at different velocities, long/short/hard beater/soft beater...sub-bass fiesta!

So I updated the demo for the "Organ Space Pad" as I revised the preset yesterday and added 8 Macros to tweak the sound. This was one of the first M5 sounds I did actually when I got into it in early August. Time flies...

And the now scripted patch "Muted Thai Gongs Split" in a little demo video, playing the sequence I composed for the audio demo in 2 passes tweaking the controls live, of course all controls can be automated via Midi CCs as well.

Bought. Really looking forward to this. Based on the demos this is the most inspirational sample library I've heard in years.

Great, thank you. I'm quite amazed myself what a plethora of sounds emerged from the work of the last months. Delving deeper and deeper into a project like this is quite a trip, I just have to say STOP on one of the next days, do the final touches and get it out of the door :)

Got the scripted waterphone patches back from my scripter today, will make a vid tomorrow, they turned out great too.

Going through some celtic harp patches from Scattered Entity Vol. 1 in this rather long video, this time with myself explaining things:

Listening to the Scattered Entity Vol 1 demos..

Very rich and detailed work here. What I like most is the three dimensional quality of the sounds, as if you sitting right next to the instrument in the room, feeling all the fine variations in the sound as it develops over time. Sonic iridescense is the closest I can come to describing it.

Even though I don't have Mach Five yet, I'm getting in on the pre-order deal, then in a month or so I'll get Mach Five, which has a great library, especielly interested in upgrading my piano instrument so it makes good economic sense in my overall sound library plan. I also really like the interface on the Mach Five generally..
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Great to have you on board the M5 vessle, man and thank's for noticing the fine details. I did pay even more attention this time to the setup of the L-C-R mics when sampling all the acoustic instruments for this library and the 3-D-ness also comes from fine-balancing the L-C-R sources for each sample, and EQing the mono center mic (U87) and the stereo pair (K 184) separately with linear phase EQs.

So after a long day with Scattered Entity finalizing plenty of patches I just needed an impro as a reward. So here is little video with 2 patches "Moanaphone" made from/with with waterphone samples and "SETI Synth" which only uses synth engines.

And here is a fresh video - 40+ minutes long - demonstrating/explaining plenty of the waterphone patches in this library which are now all finalized:

It must give quite a sense of power and accomplishment to make the sounds and then play them in such a convincingly musical way!

Hee hee, I'll just play the sounds for now, lots to learn about in that area for me.

Really love the clarity and the spaciousness in these Scattered Entity demos..

Looking forward to the release!

Thank's man, it is quite rewarding to produce music and soundscapes with sounds you've just sampled and programmed. A never ending fascination really. Listening to your latest tracks I think you have much improved your compositional skills, despite your long summer pause from music, or maybe the summer break is the reason for the improvement :)
