Thank you, Ed! Yeah, the missing-presets-issue seems to be PC only.

Now, lets hope they make the padshop presets able to be imported into halion 5 :)
I doubt, this is going to happen, the granular engine and the modulation system in HALion is a bit more complex and slightly different to Padshop Pro so I don't think this it's possible to convert the presets.
True, but it would be easy enough for them to add the samples to be loaded by the grain engine.
If you have to ask, you can't afford the answer

I rarely gush about patch sets but this sound set is amazing and deserves a lot of attention. Excellent work Simon. This is going to get a lot of use in my work. Really nice and playable sounds.

Thank's for the great feedback!

Hello all,

Regarding the issue about the presets for the Granular Symphonies not being installed properly or not being found by Padshop.

We are currently investigating this issue. For now, please make sure that you do not install the set with different user profile settings (single user vs. all user). Padshop is just scanning the folder of the profile in which is installed.

If you have installed the set with a "single user" profile the presets can be found here:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Padshop\Granular Symphonies
With the all "all users" installation the presets will be placed here:

C:\ProgramData\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Padshop\Granular Symphonies

The presets can be copied from one folder to the user to solve the problem.

Thank's for the info, Guillermo - my mailbox was overflowing with ""Why does it not..." - "Where do I..." - "What is wrong with..."-mails, now I can pass this info along and pretend I'm the Steinberg support :) (actually not so funny really...)

Eureka! Thank you Guillermo. Your solution did the trick.

Absolutely gorgeous stuff, Simon. 4 out of the first 5 cello patches I tried are immediately useful in the kind of stuff I do (theater, small documentaries). That NEVER happens. Brilliant work... really. Thanks so much.

have buy it also yesterday but did not had the time yesterday to check fully , and again congrats to Simon as i said in the other thread

same problem here with the presets ! i think its Win 64 bits Problem

at least on my system Win 8 Pro 64 bit

and btw:

the presets Folder "Granular Symphonies" are installed here (with the "all user" install:

C:\ProgramData\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Padshop\

and the "Granular Symphonies" Presets Folder needs to copy to this Folder:

C:\Users\your name\AppData\Roaming\VST3 Presets\Steinberg Media Technologies\Padshop\

and after copy the presets over , in the Padshop vst just needed Alt + Click

and now they are showing up

definetly i have installed it correct and not mixed , as i always install steinberg software in the "all user" mode

That's great to hear, 4 out of 5 is a very good ratio :) - thank you for the feedback!

Gorgeous sounds! Symphonic with a digital edge. I've only been playing around with the strings, already super happy with the purchase. And i have so many more presets to load! Christmas came early :).

Thank you - plenty of strings in this library, originally I had also planned for a double bass, but the cello already covered so much ground that I changed the concept and invited a horn player to enrich the palette with some brass sounds.

Already using patches for a documentary, and it sounds great, my client was very happy today and so do I!!!
Simon's sound design works, appears to be among the most useful around, blending organic/acoustic beauty and the intriguing digital world with a unique taste.

About install issues (just solved above as I see): after updating the elicenser, the installation paths were ok and all worked (win7/cubase 6.5).
It was then just my fault not to check it before...

Please Simon, do not pretend you are the Steinberg support, YOU have a whole community on your side!! :-)

Thank's so much for the flowers :)
I just felt a bit unqualified to be the Steinberg support in this case as I don't have a Windows system here and didn't at all understand what was/is going on with the missing presets and all, also some users believe that I released this library and build the installer and not Steinberg. Now that the issue slowly seems to be solved I feel more relaxed.

Sorry to hear about that, you can always refer those cases to me or to the Steinberg support.
