hope you are well now. Allergies are such an unknown mistery and I know too, so well. I carefully read each food label of anything I buy since then...

And, yes, the oud is so expressive, very inspiring. The blend with the waterphone soundscapes makes it very easy to say "uao! I got something already!".
Think I'll be using it in my upcoming theater performance about primitive sardininan civilization stories, which will be performed in one month here in north Sardinia, where I actually live.

All my warm best whises to you. :)
Yeah, the medication helped, I never had allergies all of my life but suddenly this appears out of the blue...need to consult a specialist in the coming week.

I thought you were based in Norway actually, so you moved (back) to Sardinia. Such a terrific island, I stayed there once for several weeks and loved the raw nature and the heartful people.

Good luck with the show!

Here is another demo video, stepping through/improvising with some patches from Aqualignum:

Here is another video for this library, using the patch Oud Particles, here is the patch description form the PDF:
3 multisampled and processed (->Reaktor Molekular using presets from my DNA Bank) oud pitches with 5 velocity layers playing in each of the two sources, each velocity layer producing a different sound
Sampled pitches:C1/A#1/C3 in source A - F1/G2/G3 in source B. Up to 4 processed layers per single sample were used. The instrument has a range of 5 octaves from C0 - C5. Shift the sample start (25 %) with Ctrl 1, add velocity sensitivity with Ctrl 2, randomize the pitches with Ctrl. 3.
Ctrl 7 introduces the tuned bandbass filter in F2 (key follow). With Ctrl 4 dialed to the left, Ctrl 8 adds an envelope to cutoff/resonance in F1 (ADSR 2).

On such a beautiful summer morning I couldn't resist to improvise with a patch from this library:

Demo for Alchemy patch "Oud Vibrato RR3". two instances of Alchemy using the same patch, one playing only snapshot 1, the other fading in and out morphing between some of the other snaps.

I'm really enjoying listening to the Demo's of Aqualignum, I liked the idea of Aqualignum before I had heard any of the Demos, feeling bold I voted for it on the Interactive black sale, and just as with the Mach V Ambient Strings I started listening to the Demos after I voted for it ! Judging by my actions I can see that I have confidence in your skills Simon, and I think I sense the quality of your work just keeps improving...

I've now a shopping list to fill in the next month that seems to just keep getting longer and longer;

Iris subscription, solved, done, managed, arranged etc.. :-D

Iris 2 upgrade

Mach V Ambient Strings

Alchemy: Aqualignum

Logic X

I really need another hard disk enclosure, as my old dual enclosure went caput, so I'm stuck with only one external enclosure, and 6 drives!! Trying to back up before upgrading, is taking too long..

Anyways that's my shopping list which at least teh Iris 2, Ambient Strings, and Aqualignum have to be bought in a short time frame, And Logic X I may as well just get it now too, The enclosure can wait.
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Thank's Wade, you've been away for ages it seems :)

Ya I've been away for ages, I had increased my work load on my practical work by 70%, and being a sensitive soul just tuned everything else off in order to have time to adjust. Recently though I have lost one of my 5 jobs so psychologically I'm tooling up to having the extra 6 free hours per week, this goes to music, and as usually a little goes along way..

Thankfully I never let good things die, just let them simmer for awhile..

Now I'm all tooled up for some of my practical work, (Festool,Metabo,Skil) so when I do go to do my practical work, sparks literally fly! I'm working hard on a Beethoven Sonata, OP 31 nr. 3 when I have the time. Logic X is going to be learned in the winter period, if we DON'T get snow.. An I have a enormous pile of images from my trip to the Balkans to sort through and edit 70 GB.. Concerts and going to be low key this winter, I'll be going to a few Operas, and choral, free conservatory, and modern music, dance modern and ballet.. Museum visits, oh life is so boring in little Copenhagen!!

I've got to get on to work soon have a rich day...
