After the miraculous disappearance of Camel Audio and the announcement that there would be no Alchemy version 2 and no further development of this unique instrument, I was in a state of consternation and sonic shock for a while, as I had many plans for it in the pipeline. Now that I’ve overcome this state and said good bye to Alchemy internally, here is a final sale for all eight libraries I created over the last 4 years, plus another collection of patches formerly compiled in the unlimited subscription.

Altogether these libraries comprise 17+ Gigabytes of samples which were produced originally for these libraries and 670+ patches (x8 variations).

Final sale means, that there will be no more discounts after March 8th, I will let these libraries live on patchpool for a bit longer afterwards and then tuck them away in a legacy section of the website.

So if some of you are in need of more of my Alchemy sounds with discount of up to 30% and even more on the big bundle, now is the chance to do so.

This is certainly a grand finale!

I think this makes the best of a bad situation, and also shows what a good sport you are!

I certainly enjoy the Alchemy sounds, apparently I've managed to get most if not all of them, I'm missing a few patches from the Alchemy subscription..

What I like most about the Patchpool Alchemy patches is the deep level of interaction I have with the sounds.. Alchemy snapshot and XY controllers encourages experimentation and realtime tweaking, something that is a weak point with me, so no I won't be shelving these sounds, not for a very, very long time.

Another thing too with using older software/soundware, the mindset that Designers and Programmers had at the time they were creating these sound tools was a product of the historic time, and in that time Gems/strokes of genius were realized and captured in the solid form of a product. To say that we can go back and recreate improve these sounds with newer technics is just hypothetical, Some of the sounds as they stand in this Archive some of the ideas will never be outdone..

And yes, it needs some sportsmanship to cope with the Alchemy-situation, as of now this campaign feels like a relief and I'm relatively fine with all of this.

Here comes another Alchemy nostalgia video, this time featuring two patches from my first library for Alchemy Alchemistry - Birdwhistle Duet and Cello Harmonic Wonderland. I first impvrovised the flute and then played the cello in a second pass, recording the Morph-Pad automation while playing in both passes.
When editing/finetuning the automation later Logic 10.1crashed on me about ten times, there seems to be a serious bug with Alchemy and Logic 10.1.

So this could be the beginning of the end because nobody will fix Alchemy if the plugin is indeed causing those crashes. *sigh*
