Incantations VI - Unholy Rites consists of 25 all new sounds created by taking vocal excerpts, mostly from audio books released in the public domain on Librivox.org and treating them to reversal and FX. These were then taken and loaded into one (sometimes two) instances of the Anomaly VSTi and joined with other instances of the Anomaly instrument to create the backgrounds for them.

Texts include the Bible, the Upanishands, the Dhammapada, the Tao Teh King, Liber AL, the Book of Lies, some Gnostic texts and the works of HP Lovecraft and Lord Dunsany.

The backgrounds and other vocals were created from the DNR Collaborative Developers Pack and other sources.

The intent is to provide a soundtrack for dark, ritualistic settings, cultish activities and just general evil and/or demonic atmospheres. The reversed vocals sometimes seem to be clearly saying something, sometimes hint at saying something and sometimes change what they are saying in the course of the loop.

There are 25 all new sounds as single sampled stereo SFZ/WAV files. Each sound is about 26 seconds long.

I am also including the background sounds and vocals as separate SFZ/WAV files for anyone who can make use of them as a bonus.

There will also be a .sf2 version.

Final size for the SFZ/WAV version is 110 Mb and another 110 Mb for the Background files...

I will get more audio demos up this week as I make the .nki files and other presets. It should be available some time this week.....

I bought two Incantations sets this week (3 & V). They have very rich timbres and the sound quality is high. I liked the online demos but the actual .wav files are even better. Good value!
