Apocalypse Percussion v2 is an awesome update! So glad I bought it.
But there's one feature that is missing. It's a feature that is easily implemented, and a must-have! Per-mic panning.
I love to pan the close mics all over the place and keep the the mid/far mics center.
So let's say you load up the snare and pan all the close mics:
Snare 1 - left
Snare 2 - mid left
snare 3 - center
snare 4 - mid right
but you keep the mid/far mics center.
Now take this idea and apply it to an entire percussion ensemble. It creates an awesome panoramic sound. Panning the close mics is so essential to create a virtual stage. The mid/far mics then completes the sound.
Workaround: load up 3 copies of everything and turn on one mic per copy. I'll do this for now.
sad that this feature is lacking in an otherwise awesome update (apoc v2)

It's pretty easy to do that in your DAW by routing the mic outputs to their own audio outputs from Kontakt. Just set up the output routing in the main Kontakt mixer (create 3 buses; one for each mic position) and then use the output assignment drop-down menu in the Mixer pop-up panel in the APE GUI to send the audio from each mic position independently to those outputs. From there you can pan, master and manipulate each position however you like.
