Pretty similar in style to sfz, and even a non-programmer like me was bale to make sense of it immediately.
For me its super helpful as I can quickly replace drum samples w/o opening my DAW and TX16WX, as long as folder structure and sample naming is standardized. Saves a lot of time and headache.
I use wordpad and the "find and replace all" option works wonders.
