In the wave matrix view, if you leave the x-axis or y-xis modifier s blank, it cycles through all the samples in that row /column in a round robin fashion. Similarly in group switching....
Maybe you are asking for a random (but no two consecutive plays of the sample sample) which could be third option besides round robin and random.

That is not "proper" random. Read up on the definition of random.

Sure, I just get ticked of at "proper". :-/
In truth though, imho non-repeatable random is more or less useless for music production, but that is another story.

Sure, if you want consistent and repeatable results it's not that useful, but for fast drum rolls etc it can certainly be valid enough...
Besides, I suppose you could add a seed value along with reset button, so that you can create a pseudo-random non-repeating sequence?
