Problem mapping drums

OK..Im sure Im doing it wrong.Trying to map a drum kit,BigMono.In top performance I create a performance called BigMono.
Then change rename new program to KICK then load up kick layers.
Problem is when I go to add another new program for the snares,etc,hats,etc. It just creates a copy of kick along with samples.If I try to rename slot to snare or whatever it renames all.
Im sure IM doing it wrong.

Duplicating a slot (or adding one) does not copy the program. It just uses the same program. So you are renaming the original "kick" program here. Just do a "add slot" + "new program" to achieve what you are trying to do.
