I typed it myself. The "Detect tempo" feature reads 139 indeed.

:) :) It reads 114 because I typed it myself. The "Detect tempo" feature detects 139 bpm indeed. Nither Detect pitch nor Detect tempo are perfect as to trust them thoroughly.

Nice, thanks man I was able to replicate by typing the value in and then the layout to slices worked fine, I guess that leaves me with one final question: did you use another program to find the 114 BPM?

Thanks again!

Post

Hi,
I used the Tap tempo feature of my DAW (Reaper). Then I double checked using the free audio editor Wavosaur.
Best regards,
Miguel

PS I found a tool for Audacity that duplicated your results:

Hi thanks, i know this is an old post but wondering if someone can help? I have done all the steps but I'm stuck on the last step (step e). When i try to drag the mapped group of slices to get the midi clip to play them in sequence (using cakewalk by bandlab) it hangs and comes up with a window "unsupported format". I can play the keys in piano roll no problem, but I'm having problems trying to lay out the whole sample in this way as all the slices are different lengths. I suppose i can lay out the full samples in piano roll and quantize them but it will take a while.

Post

As a test, drag the midi clip into file explorer instead. This should create a midi file. Try dragging this into CW. Or open somewhere else. You can also post it here.

Great thanks! I will try this when i get home and report back.

Post

Hi, i dragged the mapped group of slices to file explorer and as i was dragging in it displayed a black no entry sign suggesting this action is not possible?? Btw The sample that I'm working with was edited in cakewalk prior to bringing it in to tx16wx, so its not like the sample is incompatible with cakewalk. Thanks for your suggestion though!

Which TX version, which OS version, and can you send a copy of the sliced wave? I will check if I can repro any funny business...

Hi, latest stable release of TX, windows 10, CW latest version. I will send a copy of slices later, thanks for your help!

Post

Hi there is nowhere to post attachments so i'm unsure how to upload the wave to you?

Post

I would suggest any of the many file upload services that exist. Either your own gdrive/onedrive + share link, or just google "file upload" and pick one of the free ones.
