Processing Chain question

after adding tools like denoise, normalize etc to the processing chain i dont hear any difference in the loaded audio. Is that the normal behaviour?

If yes, how am i supposed to know what the filters are doing and choose the settings according to my needs?

Thanks for the interest in Acoustica! Acoustica applies the processing chain only if you use the play button in the Processing Chain window pane or if you choose "Play through Processing Chain" (Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Space) from the Audio menu.
