Hi,
It never occured to me to ask for a special feature in T5 since it pretty well does everything I need.
But I am stuck to switch to T5 64 bit and would really like to see some form of 64bit / 32bit bridging capability in T5 like a few other DAW seem to have. This would be very useful during the transition from 32 bit systems to 64 bit.
I already tried jBridge without success, T5 64 will not initialize jBridge plugins correctly...
Thanks !

I am using jbridge on Mac and it works - sounds like maybe there is a bug with the Win version but why not put that to the jbridge dev as it should work in any host

What are you doing and what are you seeing happen?mpoirier wrote:I already tried jBridge without success, T5 64 will not initialize jBridge plugins correctly...
Ive got a fair few 32-bit plugins which I jbridge to run under 64-bit hosts, ranging from old Synthedit stuff to Delphi-written x86 stuff like VazModular, to newer plugins that by all rights 'should' have been x64 by now (cough, PPG, cough, cough). Ive never noticed T5 having any significant issue with them.
my other modular synth is a bugbrand

Yeah I'm wondering if the problem is he hasn't pointed Tracktion to the bridged plugin folder?

Ok, here goes but this is not really the place to detail this I just asked for this feature to be available in T5...
All programs run as administrator in Windows 8.1 64 bit.
32 bit plugins installed in: C:\Program File (x86)\VST\...
64 bit plugins installed in: C:\Program File\VST\...
Ran jBridge on 32 bit folder specified above. All 64 bit proxy were generated ok in the 64 bit folder as specified above. One dll and one txt file for each...
Load Tracktion 5.3.9 64 bit and point to 64 bit VST folder as specified above, clear all plugins from list and scan folder. All generated plugins have an error message in Tracktion: "Deactivated after failling to initialise correctly". Not much detail about the cause of the problem. Is there a way to start Tracktion in "debug" mode where I could see a log file or something ?
Any idea what else I would need to do ?
Thanks,

Did you create a separate folder for the bridged plugins (separate from your unbridged plugins)? If so you need to point Traction to that folder as well as your regular plugins folders. If you didn't you may inadvertently have overwritten the unbridged plugins - you should never install the bridged versions into your normal plugin folder as they have the same name, it makes this clear on the JBridge site.

Ok last post here from me on this subject !
I finally got it working.
I uninstalled BOTH 32 and 64 bit versions of Tracktion 5 and re-installed T5 64 bit ONLY.
It was now able to scan the plugins correctly... Yeah !

Just installed "Sounds of Soul" sound set for Steinbergs Retrologue VSTi. Although the new sound set is available, the install knocked out the "Factory" set and "Vintage Classics" set. No problem in S1 version 2.6.3 but same problem with the latest version of Reaper.
Any ideas on how I might get the previous two sound sets back. I tried adding a path and a rescan.

FEATURE REQUESTS:Display zooming / scaling.
You know. Similar to http://www.everythingableton.com/?p=17 (http://www.everythingableton.com/?p=17)
Saving:
Provide some reassuring (yet unobtrusive) visual feedback that the edit was saved. (Perhaps by flashing the Save button momentarily?)
Automation Read/Write:
When using both Read and Write mode, add a slight (half second?) delay in reading automation data to avoid 'jumping' between previously recorded values and currently-being-written values.
Automation Points:
alt-drag or shift-click to select multiple automation points.
Automation Curves:
Display all currently automated parameters on new tracks, similar to:
- Ableton: Right-click track, select "Add lane for each automated envelope" http://youtu.be/k6szmBzvpgs?t=2m
- Logic: "Option-click the (closed) triangle to open up to 30 automation subtracks, which will display existing (already recorded) automation data." http://goo.gl/gZypAJ (http://goo.gl/gZypAJ)
Text gets pretty squished horizontally if you have more than a half-dozen plugins on a track. On taller tracks, it would be nice to automatically arrange filters across more than one line to take better advantage of vertical space.
Left panel:
Add (down arrow) keyboard navigation to select a plugin or setting & add to the currently selected track.
...
Thanks for considering these! So glad to be using Tracktion again after a few years. T5 rocks!

Kontact Player with Drum Lab loaded crashes current version of Tracktion... both 32 and 64 bit.
Just minimize the UI and then open again.

I agree with the bridging request. I have a lot of 32-bit plugins on my 64-bit system. I know there is jbridge but that's extra money and work.

Hello !
I posted it on the recent "dead" forum on Tracktion website but I really need it !
Multiple-crossfades at the same time !
If I select multiple clips, I need to be able to move a crossfade on one clip and that the other clips follow.
Please !!!
Thanks
