I bought Wusikstation version 4 in their group buy last week and knocked up this piece over the weekend using Wusikstation alone (almost). It uses seven instances along with a loop of Turkish drums and was put together in Tracktion 3 with a few delays and an autopanner in places. It's a mostly upbeat piece of electronica.

First thought that comes to mind is the keyboard riff from 'Golden Brown' by the Stranglers. What did you use for that keyboard part?

Here's a demo I came up with yesterday that I ended up going the length with. I'm pretty happy with it and am looking forward to playing it with friends and seeing what works and what doesn't.

Still needs an acoustic guitar track, better edits/playing in the rhythm track and a more fully fleshed out drum track instead of the same loop all the way through which it has now. Some lyrical changes and additions are also on order to more fully flesh out the theme of the song (hard-working band that hasn't and may never make it, playing those tuesday night 10pm gigs for an audience of crickets and a few friends from work - can anyone here relate? ; ).

Enjoy!

two little instrumental pieces can be found here :

I recorded the basis (that's to say ukulele and toy glockenspiel tracks) on my portable 4 track then bounced on my computer and recorded, built the tunes and (roughly)mixed in T3.
They'll be followed by more consistent tracks (with lyrics and stuff :-) but these two little tunes were quite fun to do.

Got some snazzy drums courtesy of a stock Reason 4 combinator patch. Kick drum patterns still need work, but much more polished overall.

Also added a bit of acoustic rhythm guitar. Nothing overly noticeable, but fills out the midrange to my liking.

Just realized upon re-listening that I forgot to snip out the background noise from the acoustic track waiting for the count in. Drums a bit too loud, too, I think.

Did I say I love Tracktion? I LOVE TRACKTION!

Its a cover of the classic "Cars" tune. This one exposed a problem I had with my hard drives. It had alot of tracks (25) and my system started to studder alot. Well my cache size in Tracktion was very low. I maxed it out and all is fine. I had problems with the vocals. The lyrics "Let The" is a pain in the ass to get the T in let to sound out. Sounds like Im saying "Letha". Oh well. Music wise Im happy. Enjoy and give me some feedback. Im playing all instruments and singing as usual.

Hey everyone...

I just released the first EP of my 1-man project "Ground - 0".
Everything done in T3 (started out with T2).

I use a Line6 POD 2.0 for my guitars and bass, thats going into a m-audio delta44.
Standard valve Mic preamp, kinda cheap studio membrane mic.

Effects: Waves Vocal Suite, Korg Legacy Collection, Yamaha Vocal Rack
and for Synths I use Reason 4.0 through Rewire.

check it out on:
