My archive of unfinished works. None of these songs are done, I just gave up on them or lost interest. They were done over a 10 year period, and I used Tracktion to recover and rework some of the old ones.
I put them up on myspace thinking I might inspire others from my area to combine talents and work together. As it turns out, I lack the time and networking skills to socialize on myspace. It is now mostly an account where I add bands I like and listen to their songs while I play online poker.
Anyway, the compositions:
Tesseract remix; I used their song to learn how to use Tracktion 1. I made a drum sample bank and modified their beats and MIDI data. I like it, especially with a cranked sub-woofer. It only needs some voice samples and it would be done. I wanted to contact Whitespace regarding the use of their song, but they were too hard to find.
Long Coma; was done in 1998 with a broken Alesis microverb and a phrase sampler. I have tried over the years to add tracks to it, but I never liked the results. It gets interesting a couple minutes into the track.
Uranium Slug; Originally done in 2000, lost on a dead hardrive, then painstakingly recovered and reworked with Tracktion 1. It sounds a lot like Stanley Pain era Download. Mostly done with my Nord and some Krakli freeware. Mostly finished, just needs vocals and/or voice samples.
McUltra; Done in 2000 as well, lost on the same hardrive...but also a casualty of my Emulator III's death. Recovered with T1 as well. It sounds a lot like Brotherhood of the Bomb era Technoanimal.
Techno BS; was done screwing around with Rebirth last year.
1967; A snippet of what I am working on now, the 1st thing I will finish using T3. Just needs to be recorded.
Harmful backwards masking; All T1 and freeware with voices taken from the radio. There was supposed to be loops of Led Zep/Beatles backwards messages in there too.
Retleks Retleh; All T1 and freeware. It was supposed to have Helter Skelter loops in it.

I've been using Tracktion 3 for all three albums I have (well....2 albums are done and out and the last one is a work-in-progress).You can find them at my site: http://dantharpmusic.com (http://dantharpmusic.com)
Anywhere I've got non-guitar/recorded instruments, it's all Tracktion, and all mixed/mastered with Tracktion.
I'm really starting to worry though about my using Tracktion any more.
I've run across a couple bugs (deleting MIDI snippets that cause the app to crash and the Mackie Panner not saving my panning settings).
I really love the product though...it's just too bad it's not really being supported anymore.
So, I'll hang in there for now.....hoping something will come of the Tracktion product....at least a patch.
But, anyways, check out http://dantharpmusic.com (http://dantharpmusic.com)
All of my music is entirely put together via Tracktion 3.
Later!
Dan Tharp

I recorded an album with Tracktion a few years ago and finally had the nerve to put it online through Tunecore. You can hear samples and download at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Theme-and-Variati ... 0&sr=301-1

Ryan (Igglebop),
Just purchased and am very much enjoying your album! A bunch of wonderfully sincere and understated pop gems. Your production is excellent. Did you do it all yourself? Keep us appraised of future efforts!
Cheers,
-skent

I did post a link on this thread a while back but, things have changed so I will do it again.
I started using T2 as a way to record my friends and I making noise. I turned it into a small mobile audio recording company by accident.
I use the Mackie onyx 1640 with firewire option. I do the sound at some of these gigs with the 1640 and a soundman. Most of the time I run splitters from the bands P.A.. to my mixer with no audible signal loss.
I use Audix i5 mics and an audix drum mic set. Most singers bring their own mics to these gigs. Usually an sm58.
I now do all of my recording, editing, mixing and mastering with T3.
I have a pc with xp that I only use for taking in information. It's never even been online and is pretty much brand new. I edit on another pc still using xp and it still works great. I have none of the problems I read about on these forums and dont use midi as I feel it played a big part in degrading musicianship as a whole. Thats another story.
I have various types of songs on this page. There are videos as well. I posted them to try and show potential customers what I can do in their enviornment.
If anybody has the time to listen to any of this stuff and pm me about the sound, mixes and such it would greatly appreciated. Especially if you also do live recordings.
Each gig presents its own issues with mixing. Everything I read about mixing goes out the window when its live tracks as there is some bleed in all mics and a host of other issues. Are there any live recording threads out there?

My very first T4 song!
Written and mixed in T4 to get used to Tracktion and its shortcuts and workflow.
Not a great tune but it was fun to write and record.
Will probably get a re-visit to re-do drums and main guitar melody, but not in the near future.
Groundhog Day
