Yes, it will. With a few tweaks. I have installed it on a non-system drive under Win7 64bit and it seems more stable than its user.

If you have requests for Korg VST features or changes, they are listening at https://support.korguser.net/hc/en-us/requests/new

I just visited Mackie's website and didn't realize it was not for sale from Mackie any longer, I guess the only way you can get a 'new' license is to get it bundled with a Mackie product.

This has been the case for at least a couple of years. I remember having a look myself a while back.

Last time I checked was $49.95 (or $45.00) and because I was not sure Mackie was going to maintain it for long (C/R) I skipped and now... :bang: :idiot:

A lot of dead bugs and swatted flies.

Go for it, Jules. I've noticed that with few exceptions, most of us posting on here are the 'oldies' by our KVR join date. Maybe just an observation, but there are a whole new world of computer musicians who just never gave tracktion a shot because, by then, it was abandonware.

Whilst it would be very special to see Tracktion rise from the ashes, and I would pay full whack for a version 4 - so would plenty of us - but lots of the competition has matured since the last T3 release. It was already unique, so very little about it would have to change to still keep its USP - but it's testament to Mackie's ruination that it's now perceived as catching up from behind when in fact it was always the most futuristic DAW.

So, is the Tracktion name worth saving and trading on former glories, or should a Tracktion 4 be something all new, say a Bitwig-style regeneration? Proclaim the history, but start afresh so the Mackie years of hurt can be forgotten?

Hee, I only joined KVR becuase that's where the Tracktion forum was... :hihi:

Good points though, I personally still see a place for a relatively streamlined app like Tracktion as long as it's price reflects its features. If you're going head-to-head pricewise with, say, Studio One with all it's transient detection malarky etc then prepare to be pulled up on perceived value.
